Home to the Dukes of Bedford for over 300 years is open to the public and boasts a world famous art collection, antiques, furniture and oriental porcelain.
There is also the famous Safari Park open from March to October.
Milton Keynes
Twenty minutes from us is Milton Keynes City Centre, one of the best shopping centres in the country, the "Xscape" building - indoor skiing with real snow! - theatre and art gallery.
Bletchley Park
Home of the Codebreakers, Bletchely Park is a fascinating place to visit and discover. It remained a secret for over 30 years, but today is open to the public as a heritage site and musuem.
Ampthill Market Town
Ampthill is a small market town in Bedfordshire, with an interesting history. Henry VIII was a frequent visitor to Ampthill Castle and it was there that Katherine of Aragon lived from 1531-1533. You will find a local market being held in Ampthill every Thursday, with local and regional products being sold. There are some interesting, independant, shops in Ampthill and it is a lovely town to wander around.
